The legal peeps on facebook put out a thing saying it was legit basically but yet alot of stuff doesnt add up and they kinda seem not to know whats going on either. Some people are saying too that they are coming and taking fences without even knocking while their kids and dogs are out playing. I just dont know what to believe anymore for this and i dont want to have to start all over with a new fence and pay all the deposits again for a new one. Maybe i should just sit out in my backyard with a shot gun in my hand hahaha 

dont know but if I was you and for everyone else I would stay away from the company and any other company that bella fence goes by. Who is to say that it wont happen again. i have tri city and after hearing everything that went on I am glad I went with them first 

I think everyone should just sit tight until they are approached by a legal team to find out what's going on. This just seems to be a big huge mess! 

Yeah I honestly don't care what they posted on the FB page, I'm not paying Sunflower ANYTHING. If the guy had NO assets (b/c they were ALL - personal & business - seized by KDOR) then how in the world did the "buy" the contracts from his own (now DEAD) company to start a NEW one? This shouldn't be allowed!

If they did indeed buy out my contract with Bella, they shouldn't need me to sign anythign else! They can just come after me in small claims court for the remainder of our contract or they can take their stupid fence (in the night if they wish - I really don't care at this point). I'm sure a judge would laugh this out of court in a heartbeat not to mention they probably don't have the MONEY to pay any lawyers to do so. In the meantime they aren't getting a DIME from me.

If one day my fence disappears, I'll contract with a LEGITIMATE company that pays their taxes. I pray that Sunflower (if a legitimate legal entity) isn't permitted to do ANY business on post so no one will have to deal with a repeat of this nightmare in the future.

What i want to know is why we cant see the people from sunflower? Has anyone had a fence removed by contacting them yet? None of it sits right with me. In his first letter stating that the PAYMENTS would now be going to Sunflower never said anything about the whole company or contracts being sold, or transfered. I might try to see if i still have that somewhere in fact.

Kansas Secretary of state has no record of this sale at all so are they trying to evade taxes again? And why the heck are they still letting them do business on post after screwing over so many military families? The people who did what legal said and wrote bella a letter stating that they were terminating there contracts are now receiving huge bills from Sunflower for terminating there contracts. So legal just screwed those people by giving them crappy advice. One way or another there are three government agencies working on this and they better start working together and getting a story straight. This is stupid. 

ok if it was me ..i wouldnt pay sunflower jack..to even put fences up on post you have to go thru piercne and contract with them to get the ok ..they dont have it ..also bella is in bankruptcy and they have no trustee this all takes time with the courts and ...sunflower CANT be taking over as they state its just not possible ..they are illegally trying to do contracts and trying pressure tactics to scam people this is my take on it. if they come to take your fence ..call the mps ..they have no legal right to it

I'm going with the state! I called a Lawyer to see if we can get a petition to write up blacklisting Sunflower/Bella from base period! yeah he hasn't called me back yet! Go figure!!!

I'm not paying. We are moving in 3 weeks. Picerne gave me permission to leave the fence were it is, on the premise I own it. So if they haven't taken it by the time I move, then screw it, someone moving into an 8-plex just got lucky (Very concidering you aren't even allowed to get a fence anymore and we were grandfathered). If they take it, fine, I am going through Tri-City at my new house anyway. I REFUSE to pay anyone anything! NO WAY!

Side note- I DARE them to take my fence with Ruby (or Basset) in the yard.... Then I will gladly count their stitches and laugh! My dog is not keen on strangers in our yard and even more so since I am pregnant and have our infant. She is a mother hen and she almost took out the lawn crew not long ago.

OK, i have a legitimate question. I don't know why bella fence didn't pay their taxes. Maybe they had some unforseen catastrophic circumstances, or maybe they just didn't plan right. I honestly don't care about that. I just wonder why is it that you feel the fences belong to you now? Even if "someone" tells you so. My mortgagee was changed 5 different times in the last 3 years. Each time one mortgagee would go bankrupt, a mother or sister company would take over it. But never for a second I thought to myself: "well, since this company went bankrupt, the house is all mine now!" I'm not trying to be rude, and I'm probably not comparing apples to apples, but in a way it's the same thing. It is not our job to play lawyers or IRS. The fence is not yours, but if you want to keep it, then you just keep paying, right? If you don't want to keep it, then you let them take it, right? Where the money or fences are going will be dealt with by either lawyers or the IRS. Why do you feel you can keep the fence if it's not yours? OK, so that was my question. And I'll probably have a bunch of answers saying "because Erin told me so..." Does it make it right? Again, I'm not trying to be rude, I just want to understand the mentality ... 

The IRS told us it was ours. In specific the person that actually seized them. Therefore I would think she would have the best knowledge of what was going on. Also Bella was seized and all there assets taken. The owner of Bella is the same owner of Sunflower. It cant be legit because not only where his buisness assets taken but also his personal ones. This company isnt even registered with the Kansas secretary of state for having bought out Bella. I honestly dont care if its mine or not. Either way Im not paying a dime and someone can come get the dang thing. But if there a legit business they should be knocking on doors and not just going out back and taking it. Technically that is trespassing because they are our property ( or picernes whoever you wish to say) and didnt ask the owners if they could come onto there property ( whether asking Picerne or you... either way Picerne would have to let you know they were coming). 

ok for those who already left/ets moved ect...and had bella ..bella did not fulfill their contract with them to remove the fence and fix the ground ect..also the fence can be left but you are no longer responsible for it til they figure go thru the court by that time more contracts will be broke by not being able to remove the fences by bella you can leave the fence and a nice suprise for the next tenant if you want they are not bound by contract and the fence will become who ever lives there. the difference is your mortgage was bought up and no lapse of coverage for you they didnt remove you from the house til the new financial place got the paperwork...this is now in the courts and its going to be take time.

i don't want a free fence..... i seriously don't want their fence AT ALL. my issue is this... who does this fence BELONG TO? no one can tell me. I don't want to give a fence belonging to KDOR away and then be held responsible for it... i seriously just want a company i can pay every month and not have to worry about getting scammed. the reason everyone is skeptical of this sunflower fence company is because the company was created at the same time the first company was being siezed by the same exact owners. If you read the documentation on the link for KDOR, it does clearly state that all assets, business and personal were siezed. I personally, don't like getting taken for a ride. I just want this ALL to go away and move on with life. If i owe sunflower, i will pay sunflower, but i want to ensure they are a factual company and not just some idiot with a printer and a post office box collecting money. There are thousands of them on the internet... 

I just got off the phone with Erin again. She stated that they sent a letter to Jag stating that they seized all of Bella's assets including the contracts on post but as a courtesy to the military decided not to actually come pick up the fences and give them to the military families. SO JAG has this documentation. The documentation that we all need. She also said that there was no way the original owners could have bought the contracts out because all there assets were seized. Meaning that if this was actually there business that they would have seized that too. I think JAG has some explaining to do and better get there dang story straight. They have the paper that we all need yet are still saying we should pay Sunflower. We also were told that if they come to try to take your fence call not only the MP's but also Junction City police. She said Junction City police actually know what is going on since they helped her seize everything and would be able to come on post and give the correct info. 

The neighbor behind us had Bella and had scheduled her fence to be removed the 23rd of July. She is out of state with her spouse (TDY) and about a week ago some guy showed up and removed the fence so I figured it must have been someone from the fencing company. 

My biggest thing is I just want to be done with them and i want them banned from post so they cant get any business from anybody here so that they will crash and burn. Thats all I want!! 

Ft. Riley Legal just posted a letter from the owner of Bella/Sunflower Fence Company stating that all payments owed and responsibilities to Bella June 1, 2010 and prior are no longer due for Ft. Riley customers. here's the link

Me too and totally agree. I just dont see whats so hard for them to say " hey sunflower, your not allowed on post, you lost your crap because your scum now dont come back" Thats what needs to be done. They are trash and do not need to be allowed to scam more people. ugh!!
