ok so im having some issues with my wisdom teeth and need them pulled. called the tricare number they gave me a website to go to and the website is giving me the run around as well. so do any of you know what i need to do to get into a dentist ASAP?

giff's fam --- 214 days ago -

If you have dental insurance then you can make an appoinment with whoever you wish to go to. They will look at your teeth be like yup you need them pulled and they will scedual you an appointment to get them pulled. If you dont have insurance you need to get that 1st before you go get looked at. which you can sign up for it online at unitedconcordia

We go to Dr Craft in JC. My daughter had her wisdom teeth out this morning. United Concordia pays 60% of oral surgery: it cost me $600 today.

Most dentists offices around here accept united concordia here are some i know of Denistry by designs (manhattan) dr swan (manhattan) Konza(sp) in jc (that one i have been told alot of military go to) There are many more i have called everyone from salina to topeka looking for someone with nitrus to look at my daughter and almost everyone i called accepted united concordia

Google search tricare dental. It will bring up a link for their website. Through that website you can search for tricare approved dentist offices in your area. With your wisdom teeth they will only cover a certain percentage depending on whether or not you want to be put under while they pull them. If I was to do it with just numbing my dentist told me I'd only have to pay about 100 or so out of pocket, then I called to see how much I would have to pay out of pocket to be put under when they did it... It was over 600 dollars! So needless to say my wisdom teeth are still in my mouth! Most of the time if you call a dentist they can tell you if they accept tricare. That website should tell you pretty much everything you need to know. But if you have any other questions you can pm me.

I go to Konza, I paid $12 for a cavity. That was after Tricare did their share. I have to have my wisdom's out too, I have an appointment on the 4th though. If it is anywhere near $600 I will not be getting them out, they can sit there and do whatever. That's annoying and not happening.

PCW- let me know how much it is! im like you if its to expensive i will NOT have it done!

Yea, I am going to have my cleaning/X rays next month so I am not going to make the appointment until I know how much. I can feel them through my gums though right now, and I know there is no room for them to come in so they are going to have to be yanked. I'm already not thrilled about it, but paying an arm and a leg is not going to happen. I hate that we don't have full coverage on dental.

I am so glad I had my wisdom teeth pulled before I married my hubby and was still covered under my daddys insurance I only had to pay $36 for all 4 of them to be pulled and if they didn't keep me under longer it would have only cost 15. If I wouldn't have had them pulled before we got married they would still be in I would never pay 600 for them to be taken out that's such a rip off to me

I go to Konza as well. My wisdom teeth are completely out and I got a quote and it definitely wasn't $600. I think it was $60 something per tooth. I know the dentist said that it would be a simple extraction because mine are fully out. I would make an appt and have them give you a quote. Good Luck

I paid $84 bucks at Dentistry by Design in Manhattan to have two teeth pulled. That included the x-rays as well. Dr. Stevens is really awesome! And they take United Concordia as well :) 1110 Westport Drive Manhattan, KS 66502-2859 (785) 539-2314
