So I was looking through the Wanted ads today and there are a few asking for people to come pooper scoop their yards. Call me mean or rude, I don't mind, but to me (Even if you are going to pay someone) this is lazy. You don't "Have time" to do that, how do you have time to own dogs then? I guess it just annoys me. 

lol I agree with you! I've read those as well and I just think that is pure laziness. I have a 22 month old and I'm pregnant and I can get my butt out in my yard and pick my dogs poop up and my dog poops waaaaaaaaayyyyy too much, haha so I have alot of poop to pick up but it's really not that hard to do! 

haha thats why i have kids...once they get old enough i'll have my very own homemade pooper scoopers haha. I remember doing it when i was a kid...i didnt get paid either. It doesnt take that long to do so couldnt really imagine having some random person do it and pay them for 10 minutes of work...i mean its not like we have 10 acres of dog poo haha

why is it even a big deal? I don't concider it lazy at all.. I could see them just not wanting to do it. but how is that lazy? If there was something I didn't feel like doing I would pay a kid to do it.. When we had to mow our own lawns teenagers would come around and you could either pay them or not but they would mow the lawn so I don't see why this is any different. Let 'em pay someone... who cares

62bwifey- i agree with you, cuz i was 8 months pregnant and i was in my back yard cleaning up dog poop....my back hurt like heck though but i still did it myself. 

If a kid wants a job or even adult.. I'd pay them, it's a nasty job I don't exactly love doing it and if it's feeding that persons family or teaching a kid work ethic why not? 

lol all im sayin is at least they are pickin it up right!? lol The rain pretty much took care of mine for the moment its all dissolved out there so im good until it starts hardining up and i gotta use commissary bags to clean up after them all LOL if the teenagers were smart and not grossed out by it they would go around like they used to and make money during the summer doin it LOL since they don't have to mow the lawn anymore HAHA 

hey, there are professional services in KC that offer this sort of thing. I guess i have to agree with Kristle, if someone is willing to do it and you can afford to pay them i guess go for it. Not my job preference, but there are a lot of things people do for money that are not exactly up my alley - lets take for example the prostitues in Vegas. (for those that don't know, it is legal there and they advertise profusely...) would i EVER do it? um... no. but good for them... they are making LOTS more than most of us make in a much shorter amount of time. at least they are providing for themselves and not living off the state. Soooo... i guess if ya wanna scoop poop... well... do it with a smile. :) ~Amy 

Some people cant stomach the idea of even picking up poop or vomit anything like that so that is an option they have. I have to clean up poop regularly in my back yard because my Jack Russell is a pooping machine.

Shoot, I don't even have a dog, but yet there is crap in my yard. My neighbor is a lazy a$$ who won't pick up after his animal. I've told him and he denys it, but I'm like, hello, I've seen the dog do it. Whatever. I live off base so there isn't much I can do, but I don't feel I need to pick up other people's dog droppings! I'd pay someone to do it. Not cause I'm lazy, just b/c it's NASTY!

Yeah, I personally don't know how someone could not have time for this. I use one of those big poop scoops and put the poop into grocery bags and then put them in the outside trashcan so I never have to touch the poop, LOL. It only takes as long as it takes your dog to poop lol.
