Is anyone else being harrassed by these people????

I filled out the form after being met at my door by a woman from the Census Bureau and figured it was all said and done.

I still get calls on a daily basis from them, and its starting to be a pain in the butt!!! 

I was getting calls all the time and being asked more questions even though i sent mine in on time, but the last time i got a call i told the guy i already answered your questions and won't anymore, haven't gotten a call since 

The same is happening to me. I assumed it was all done too. I don't see any reason they need to call everyday. I have yet to reply to them, but I suppose I should to get them off my back. I just cant imagine what else they would need since the paperwork was filled out. 

I filled out the form as well, I've received one phone call and I was a pain in the @ss during the whole call because there is no reason in the world why they should harrassing people who filled out their forms and sent them in when they should be tracking down the people who didn't do it. That's just crazy. 

I told them if they didn't stop I'd be pressing harassment charges, and they still call...I'm at my wits end! 

Yeah I've been harassed by them also. I told the woman at the door that I mailed my form in and she still INSISTED that I answer the questions to her AGAIN. Now I keep getting calls from them & I don't answer. What was the point of filling out the stupid form if they are going to keep asking the same sh*t over & over? 

Who can we talk to about this issue? I'm currently not dealing with it anymore but I think it's crazy for people to literally be harrassed for no reason. 

I was wondering the same thing as you ladies were and here is what I found out as far as why they keep trying to collect info. I'm still unsure as to why they would keep coming to the same house over and over again and calling if a person has already given all the info required.

As responses to the census roll in, the census generates a list of people who have not yet responded. Census takers go out on foot again to track down those households and collect responses. The census taker is obliged to take every possible step to collect data about nonrespondent households. This includes interviewing neighbors, returning to the housing unit multiple times, attempting to contact landlords, and similar steps.

Census takers are required by law to protect the data they collect, and they cannot ask questions which are not on the census questionnaire. Even after they no longer work for the government, they must keep any information they collected during the census confidential. Citizens are required to participate in the census, and the tradeoff is that they must be assured that their information will be protected 

If they didn't get all the information they needed from you the first go round, they will keep calling and showing up at your home until they do. It's a legal requirement to cooperate and any attempts to contact you are not considered harassment in a court of law.

I filled out my Census forms as soon as I received them, but they still called me back again and left me a message. I returned their call, answered questions for about 8 minutes, then that was it. It doesn't take that long and it's mandatory.

It is ESPECIALLY important that we as a military community complete the Census requirements. The amount of family personnel stationed at any given base/post at any given time can effect how much funding that base/post receives. So just take a few minutes and call them back; it's really quick. 

I have filled out the paper and sent it in, then a lady came to my door, stood with her in the heat for about 10 minutes and filled out that form. Why don't they get their SH!T together and have one form for one person! I am tired of taking time out of my day to talk to these people when I have already done it twice. Seems to me they are disorganized and when they harass people it doesn't leave a good impression. 

What's the point of having us fill out a form if they're gonna harrass us after the fact anyways??? There are people who continuously have these people calling their house everyday and showing up on their doorstep everyday. It's outrageous.
