Please watch out for turtles when you are on your way to and from Walmart using Chestnut Street. The turtles like to cross the bridge from one forest area to the other.

Tonight was one of the saddest things I have seen. One of the turtles was out in the road. Husband saw it and pulled car to the side of the road off the bridge. He ran back to the bridge to rescue the turtle, but literally seconds before husband and I could get to the turtle it was hit, by someone not paying attention and driving a red suv. :(

We took the turtle down to the forest area and off of the road, after realizing it didn't survive the crash. On the walk back to the car we saw another turtle who apparently tried to cross the same bridge and got hit aswell. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION AND BE CAREFUL!
