Does anyone know about the "laws" about pets on post. I guess my question is about keeping them outside. Is it against policy to make them stay in the heat without water?


The poor dogs that live behind me (mind you these are dogs # 3 & 4, they usually don't keep dogs that long) are in a fenced in yard, in a kennel together and have no water sitting in the sun with no shade.

They make the dogs stay outside all day and once they go in for the night the put them into their kennel and put them in their garage. The only reason I know this is because I can see them through their sliding door. The other neighbor has also confirmed that is what they do. These poor pets have hardly any human interactions... I just don't understand the point of having pets if you aren't going to pay them any attention. 

They can be outside all day long as long as they have food water and a dog house that they can go into, to get out of the sun. I'd call the mps on them. expecially when they have NO WATER. 

They are in a wire kennel sitting on the patio in the sun with no food or water. The people are home because the haband just came out and told them to "shut up." 

Ya if they are locked up in a wire kennal and not water i'd call that's animal cruelty 

I have neighbors similar to that as well. It's only one dog though, as far as I know. These people keep their dog in the garage. It's hot outside, I can only imagine how hot it is inside the garage. Doesn't Fort Riley have an animal control unit or something?

I've seen their SUV around my neighborhood (Forsyth). I would definitely call, it can't hurt. 

call animal control. they have to have a real dog house not a wire kennel. They cant go an hour without water either. 

just call 785-239-6767...its the MP station...they will get the animal control to come out and take a look. they will most likly get a warning first then if it continues maybe take the dogs!!! 

The dogs were left out all night in the kennel in the backyard... I checked at 2am. I went to call this am and the dogs are missing!!! The kennel is still in the backyard but no dogs!!! Uhhh!! 

Hmm maybe they took them in or maybe animal control has been watching them and already gave them warnings maybe thats why the dogs are gone. Who knows you will find out if the dogs are out in a bit.
