Health department offers free fans for those in need
Due to the extreme heat the Junction City Geary County Health Department has partnered with Walmart in Junction City and the Junction City Fire Department to distribute free fans to the public.

If you cannot afford a fan, do not have air conditioning, have small children or elderly in the home, or suffer from a medical condition that is made worse by the heat, you qualify to receive a free fan. The osculating fans will be distributed at the Junction City Fire Department at 700 N Jefferson, this week, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., while supplies last, limit one per household.

The Health Department would like to thank Steve Bussman and the local Walmart and the Junction City Fire Department for helping to make this opportunity possible. 

This is a great thing. I went to walmart last week and bought 2 stand up fans for $26 each! They wanted over $15 for a small desk fan and up to $60 for stand up. I remember being able to buy a box fan for $9.99...stupid economy!
