I had stuff outside to pick up for free -- leftovers from a yardsale...now I see a lady on bookoo selling these items...it bugs me!!! She is trying to make money of the stuff I wanted someone to pick up that was in need...on top of that she is trying to charge an arm and a leg for those things...Bugs me and irritates me!!!

Why? do you have some emotional attachment to it? If you were hoping for some sort of charity grace on it then you should give to a charity(like the Thrift Store, who will clean it up and sell it for too high a price). Maybe she wants to sell it to buy milk, or shoes for the kids. If your gift has strings attached, its not a gift then is it? This is stuff you were basically throwing out because you did not want it and neither did any one who attended your yard sale. Im not scolding you here, Im just saying think about what you are getting mad about. It was your garbage, and she might do something good by selling it. Its not like she scammed you or tricked you. It is almost like you are saying "I gave you my leftovers and you had better be thankful that!"

I understand where you're coming from. It feels like the equivalent of giving money to a person begging on a corner and then watching them spend it on booze.
Depending on the items, you can donate theen to a church. Our church back home made sure stuff went to people who actually needed it.

If I have curb alerts, I don't care if anyone sells them after I let them go. I'm usually just happy that they took the stuff off my hands, can use it, and saved me a trip to the DAV or Goodwill. But, if I specifically have something of value that I deliberately want to give to a needy person/family and it ends up on Craigslist? Well, that's no bueno. There are plenty of items to be found at auctions and in the free section of Craigslist without having to scam to get sell-able items. Will I give a television to someone who has no TV and honestly can't afford one? Sure will. But if you're just going to sell it then no, I'm not cool with that.

I can see where you are coming from. I would probably be slightly annoyed as well. Not gonna lose sleep over it, but it's a bit tacky. Seems to be a lot of people like that around here b/c I know this isn't the first post I've seen where someone has mentioned a similar situation of someone selling someone else's garbage or something they bought and then went on to resell it at a big markup.

It use to bug me too but now I figure if they want to take the time to clean it up and sell it more power to them. I am usually just glad it's out of my way.

It s not that, it is that she is charging also too much...the items were good and I just didnt want them due to moving...well, cant change it but it s still annoying
