I know they are talking about closing hostess , but I find it sad and amusing at the same time that people are trying to make money from it by selling them on RYS and eBay for a profit in their pockets ....*SMH* 

I have not seen any ads on RYS, just eBay.

I love all of the sad stories that people put about why they need $1500 for a box of twinkies. They are not gold! Some company can still buy Hostess and resume production later. I have my stockpile and I am good for awhile and I could not imagine trying to sell a $3 box for the prices they are getting, only idiots would pay such a high price. 

Looked on eBay earlier today and saw people bidding up to $140 for 1 box!

My dad went to the wonder bread store in our home town and people had already cleaned out the shelves. 

I think it's funny that people think its the end of the world because of them going out of buisness. Thats crazy people trying to sell it for that much. 1st off the article I read said whatever Is made in the factory already will still get packed up and shipped to the stores but once those are gone then that's it. 2nd off I personally don't like their products i prefer little Debbie. 

They dont even taste good. I wouldnt even spend what they are normally priced haha. 

Lol Kandice I agree, I couldn't even tell you the last time I had a Twinkie or anything from hostess, other then wonder bread. 

The only thing I ate that they made was the little chocolate covered donuts...and they arent good at all...I just ate them because they are chocolate haha.

Funny thing I just realized the other day there was a difference. I thought oh no! All my old favorites are gonna be gone. Then I went to the store and checked it out and realized they were all made by Little Debbie :)

But I will miss the cupcakes and powdered Donettes. Twinkies are good too but I can live without. But I do feel bad for all those that are left without a job. 

I used to love their cream filled cupcakes, but I can't remember the last time I had one. Twinkies are just nasty. If I am starving in the morning I would grab the chocolate cover donuts at the store, but they never tasted amazing. 

My mother in law loves zingers so I just called her and asked her what kinda price she would pay for zingers. She goes you know what when they announced that I didn't even think about Zingers being made by hostess but this morning she realizes that's who made them when it was announced on the news so she said she is going to go out to stores today to see if she can find them I told her good luck. I saw 2 boxes of zingers on eBay for the buy it now price of over 1200 dollars just crazy. 

AWDY....there are the 2packs of both devils food chocolate and vanilla zingers at the Forsyth shoppette about 1 hr ago.

I was at the commissary over the weekend to go " big" shopping... it kinda made me upset that there were no hostess left for the reason that hostess is the only brand that we have found that does not have a nut warning on them that my grandson can eat.. little debbies have it so we cant buy it.. sad...

Yea, I know they are money hungry, but now that Hostess is not going out of business for the moment, they probably have a crap load of Twinkies for no reason....lol

ya would be but since this is the 2nd time in less than 10 yrs that this happened with hostess i don't for see people being kinda. lol. 

The funniest part of all is that Hostess is now in negotiations, so they may not even go out of business. Not knocking anyone, but it's foolish to pay $1000 for a box of Twinkies when they may very well be back on the shelves at regular price soon...

So I didn't hear about the hostess thing till after I had been to commissary last week here in germany. So today I had to look to see if they had zingers for my mother in law no luck but they still had quit a few ho ho's but the commissary here marked them up to 3.06 a box!!! And they still had wonder bread in fact they were stocking that kind of bread when we were there today
