Question... wondering if there is a need for infant childcare providers in Junction / Ft. Riley. I am a mother of a 2 month old and a 6 year old and getting sick of the business world. I have been here for 3 yrs and love the area; we aren’t planning on going anywhere anytime soon. When looking for childcare for my infant the lady I found said her phone rings off the hook with ladies needing childcare for their newborns. LIGHT BULB! I love babies (who doesn’t?) and am great with them. Plus, I completely understand how hard it is to trust someone with their newborn as I am going through that now. I am wondering if there is a real need for infant sitters. I see so many ads on Bookoo and Craigslist etc. for babysitters but I always assume they are just scams. I don’t want to appear that way and would like some insight from real ladies on where you look, or even if there is a need for this. Any info would be great!

The reason there is a need for infant childcare is because most home daycare providers will only agree to care for 2 infants under 18 mos at a time. I think state regs say they can only have 3, but most I talked to don't want 3, they only want 2. So even though they can have 7 kids or whatever, only 2 of those spota are usually available for babies.
