Hi all. We recently moved here and I wanted input from others who have been here a while. I notice a lot of satellite dishes for the on-post housing.

We finally got our HHG and are in the process of figuring out if we want cable, satellite, or just an indoor antenna. Our main concern is local news channels. We know we can get netflix, hulu etc thru our gaming system rather cheaply, but we are coming from Germany (in a no-AFN area) and we desperately miss local newscasts.

Has anyone had luck with using a tv-top antenna, and if so, how many channels did you get?

We used an antenna for about a year and only got one station. My 4 year old started randomly saying "Fox Kansas, News at 9" because it's all we heard on television.

We finally added satellite.
